PDT (Pattern Day Trader) rule requires a minimum of 25K$ to day trade: make more than 3 day trades a week. I hate it, everybody hates it and think it’s stupid. It’s annoying but the logic is sound once you are forced the PDT restriction after trading like a cowboy.
Daily trading volume is how many shares are traded per day. Average daily trading volume is typically calculated over 20 or 30 days. On average, there are about 182 or 183 days in six months. It matters what months you use, as if you have February it will be two or three days fewer. But on average the number of days in 6 months is 182.625 (half of the 365.25 days in a year).
